Drooping eyelids can make you look older, and they can impair your vision. Blepharoplasty corrects these problems and also removes the puffiness and bags under the eyes. In upper eyelid surgery, the surgeon makes the incision along the individual creases, natural folds, of the eyelids. After the incision is made, excess fat is removed and repositioned. Then, the loose muscle and the skin are removed. In lower eyelid surgery, the surgeon makes the incision in an inconspicuous site along the lash line and the smile creases of the lower lid. Excess fat, muscle and skin are trimmed, and the incision is closed with fine sutures.

With age, skin begins to lose its youthful elasticity. Deep, horizontal lines can appear on your forehead. A brow lift can reduce these wrinkle lines as well as lines that occur between the eyes and on the bridge of the nose. A brow lift places your eyebrows in an alert and youthful position.

The loss of youthful contours in the face can be due to a variety of factors. These factors include heredity, gravity, environmental conditions and stress. A facelift is a surgical procedure that can improve a number of visible aging conditions. These conditions include sagging in the middle of the face, deep creases below the lower eyelids, deep creases along the nose that extend to the corner of the mouth and fat that has fallen or disappeared. Other visible aging signs that can be improved by a facelift include a loss of skin tone in the lower face that creates jowls and loose skin and excess fatty deposits under the chin.

Lip Reduction

Although full lips are often desired in today’s society, excessively prominent lips or unevenly sized lips may cause some to be dissatisfied with their appearance. This procedure is for patients who are unhappy with their natural lips and for patients who are dissatisfied with the results of a prior lip augmentation procedure. A lip reduction procedure can be performed on the upper and lower lip to improve the patient’s appearance and balance facial features.

Ear surgery, also known as otoplasty, can improve the shape, position or proportion of the ear. Otoplasty can correct a defect in the ear structure that is present at birth and becomes apparent with development. This procedure can also treat misshapen ears caused by injury. Ear surgery creates a natural shape of the ear and brings balance and proportion to the ears and face. Correction of even minor deformities can have profound benefits to a person’s appearance and self-esteem.

Neck Lift

A neck lift, or lower rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that improves visible signs of aging in the jawline and neck. Some people feel they are not ready for a full facelift, because the upper face is still pleasing. However, many patients will note excess wrinkling of the jowl lines and the neck skin. The excess wrinkles of the neck skin are sometimes referred to as a “turkey wattle” or double chin. When the neck area doesn’t match the upper facial appearance, a neck lift may be a good solution.

Neck (Submental) Liposuction

Many factors, such as age, weight changes or heredity factors can cause some to develop fat under their chin. This creates the appearance of a “double chin.” Neck liposuction slims and reshapes the areas under the chin by removing excess fat deposits. Liposuction can be performed alone or with other plastic surgery procedures, such as a facelift.

Ear Lobe Repair

Earlobe repair surgery is used to address torn or stretched earlobes. This type of earlobe can be caused by the wearing of heavy, dangling earrings or through other minor accidents. The surgery is fairly quick and performed in our office using local anesthesia.

Mini Necklift

The Mini Necklift is an in-office surgical procedure that addresses the lower face and the upper neck. Specifically, it reduces jowls, marionette lines, and neck skin laxity. The procedure is performed using local anesthesia and is well tolerated by the majority of patients. Patients generally recover in a week. This procedure can be combined with liposuction under the chin, a mini facelift or an upper eyelid lift.

Mini Facelift

The Mini Facelift is an in-office surgical procedure that addresses heavy smile lines (nasolabial folds), descent of the cheek and facial skin laxity. The procedure is performed using local anesthesia and is well tolerated by the majority of patients. Patients recover in seven to ten days. This procedure is often combined with a mini necklift. Patients who have had a facelift in the distant past but want to avoid general anesthesia can benefit from this procedure.
