“The focus is on the patient. As it should be.”
A Life-Long Educator
Dr. Teotia’s road to becoming a plastic surgeon did not begin as most others. Before deciding to enroll in medical school, Dr. Teotia served as a middle school science teacher for Teachers for America. It was there where she was exposed to the difficulties of teaching in an underprivileged neighborhood, an experience that helped her gain a new perspective on life and shape her outstanding character. Dr. Teotia’s affinity towards helping others did not end here; instead, it transformed into another journey – the calling of a career in the medical field.
While she initially believed that she had to save lives to be a medical professional, Dr. Teotia eventually chose to be a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, a decision that she has stood by ever since.
“Through my own experience, I realized that helping improve patients’ quality of life can be just as rewarding. We work on our home, car, and relationships. We should feel just as comfortable working on ourselves.”
Dr. Teotia maintains her love of education and has been appointed as a clinical professor at three different medical schools. She also strives to inform all of her patients on their many procedure options. She finds great fulfillment in helping others look and feel their best, which is why her amazing results speak for themselves.

Get to Know Dr. Teotia
I was born in Denver. My family lived in various cities in Colorado before moving to Minnesota. I graduated from high school in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
I received a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors and Distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After teaching middle school science in Phoenix with the Teach For America program, I attended the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. I spent a decade training in surgery at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. My first plastic surgery practice was in Midland, Texas. My maternal family has resided in Midland for generations.
I believe that each patient is to be respected as an unique individual. Therefore, each patient has an individualized care plan. Patients are considered partners. The patient’s perspective and goal is what matters the most when planning a surgical procedure. Results should be natural in appearance.
I have always been interested in natural, aesthetic outcomes, and plastic surgery follows this path of interest.
I enjoy getting to know my patients. My patients become like family members over time.
Dedication and hard work!
I enjoy being with my husband, three children and two dogs. I also like to travel, catch up with old friends, exercise (mostly running after kids), and read.
Honest, caring, and hard working.
I think my patients sense that I truly care about them, that I have the skills to treat their medical conditions and that the outcomes of their aesthetic concerns will be positive.
