Dr. Stephanie Teotia is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has been in private practice since 2012. She has served as a trusted consultant and expert medical witness in legal cases involving medical malpractice, personal injury, work injuries, and more. She offers comprehensive, medical-legal consulting services for plaintiffs and defendants and has worked with a diverse range of clients, including individual practices, hospitals, and large corporations.
Dr. Teotia completed her medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2002. During her decade of surgical training at University of North Carolina Hospitals, she completed a plastic surgery residency and fellowships in craniofacial surgery and wound care.
Dr. Teotia has experience in burn care, wound care, complex reconstructive surgery due to injuries or birth abnormalities, and aesthetic surgery for the breasts, body, and face. In addition to her clinical expertise, she has held three academic appointments as an adjunct professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center, University of North Carolina, and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at the Permian Basin. She has also published numerous clinical and basic science articles related to wound repair and surgery.
