What is Avéli Treatment and What Can it Do for You?

Most women have some amount of cellulite, but we usually aren’t too happy about it. Given the chance, many of us would swap our dimples for smooth, silky thighs and buttocks. However, most “treatments” for cellulite are useless at best, and some of them are frankly quite dangerous. The Aveli Treatment System, by contrast, REALLY DOES WORK. It’s safe, it’s effective, and there’s a very good chance it’s right for you.

While liposuction can remove pockets of unwanted fat, it doesn’t get down to the root cause of cellulite. However, if you’re researching plastic surgery options for cellulite treatment, you have no doubt heard about the beautiful results women are seeing with Aveli by now.

If the hype you’ve read sounds to good to be true, let us challenge you to read on and learn more about this incredible new system that is changing how elite plastic surgeons approach dimple-type cellulite.

What Is the Aveli Treatment System?

Aveli is a minimally invasive treatment cleared by the FDA to address the root cause of dimple-type cellulite. Aveli treatment is only performed by physicians; unlike ineffective wraps and scrubs, Aveli delivers beautiful results after only one procedure.

The Aveli cellulite treatment system REALLY WORKS. It’s safe, it’s effective, and there’s a very good chance it’s right for you.

Who Is the Aveli Cellulite Treatment System for?

If your cellulite dimples are holding you back, whether in areas as central to your wellbeing as your love life or only in peripheral aspects like your self-expression via fashion, Aveli may be right for you.

Aveli yields the best results for patients who have firm, elastic skin, a BMI between 18 and 35, and are generally in good health.

While cellulite can respond to strength training, a healthy diet, and achievement of a healthy BMI, for at least 85% of women over the age of 24, cellulite is a naturally occurring feature of the connective tissue matrix that covers a woman’s thighs and buttocks. Cellulite can also be found in other areas of the body, like the upper arms, breasts and abdomen.

Cellulite dimples result from fibrous bands of connective tissue pulling sections of your skin in toward your thighs and buttocks, causing the surrounding fat to bulge out slightly. Imagine the quilting on a jacket, purse, or mattress, and you’ll have a fairly close image of what is happening beneath your skin.

Unfortunately, the nature of cellulite means that without intervention, your dimples almost certainly aren’t going anywhere.

What Is involved in the Aveli Treatment System?

Aveli technology employs a technique called subcision. Subcision is a very precise procedure during which Dr. Teotia will use a small, needle-sized blade to delicately snip the fibrous bands of connective tissue pulling your skin down into dimples.

Before Dr. Teotia begins the procedure, you’ll change into a surgical gown. While you’re standing, Dr. Teotia will use a marker to clearly identify your cellulite dimples. You will also be asked to flex your hip and buttock muscles; this will increase the visibility of your dimples and allow Dr. Teotia to make sure she treats all of the areas that are of concern to you.

Once you’re lying down on the treatment table, Dr. Teotia will apply a numbing solution. After you’re desensitized, she will make small incisions to insert the Aveli device just beneath your skin. A quick, fanned-out pass will completely release the fibrous bands anchoring your skin into the dimpled position. You may feel some suction during this portion of the procedure, but no pain.

You should expect your treatment to last approximately one hour, depending on the number of cellulite dimples.

What should I expect immediately after the procedure?

After the procedure, you may experience one or all of the following minor side effects:

  • minor pain
  • bruising
  • soreness
  • tenderness

These side effects usually resolve on their own in just a few days, and clinical studies have found NO SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS resulting from Aveli! This remarkably effective procedure is safe, nearly pain-free, and easy to recover from.

Will I be able to see my results right away? How long will my results last?

In as little as a few weeks you will begin to see your full results! Your skin will remain smooth for at least a year, although Aveli results can also be long-lasting. A U.S. survey of Aveli patients reported over 90% of people were still experiencing a marked improvement in the appearance of their cellulite a year after their procedure.

After three months, 84% of Aveli patients were satisfied. At one year, a whopping 93% were satisfied! Dr. Teotia feels confident that with more time and data, Aveli results will prove permanent with very few reasons for repeat treatment on the same body part. The only factor that may cause patients to develop new cellulite after their Aveli treatment is extensive weight gain.

Patients who chose Aveli treatments were nearly unanimously glad they had gotten their cellulite dimples released using Aveli’s effective, simple, safe technology.

Will I need to schedule time off to recover?

Aveli is a nonsurgical, minimally-invasive procedure; as such, it doesn’t require that Dr. Teotia employ general anesthesia. You can expect to be able to drive yourself home, and after 24 hours, you can resume your normal day-to-day activities. It will probably benefit you to take it easy for the first 24 hours, but some patients find that they don’t need to do so.

In order to secure optimum results, Dr. Teotia recommends that Aveli patients wear compressive garments as much as possible. Yoga pants, bicycle shorts, or shapewear (nothing too terribly tight, please) can all work equally well.

Avoid strenuous activity, including exercise, for three or four days after your procedure, and avoid swimming and the sun for one full week.
